At Educ-Eight, The Write Reading Company, we believe each child has the ability to achieve.
Our programme focuses on developing literacy skills particularly in writing.
All Modules are adaptive and can be tailored to suit your child's needs.
This course consists of 3 modules.
Module 1 – Writing to Persuade
Complete three pieces of persuasive writing;
Students read and evaluate advertisements. They write promotional material for a new product and finally write a letter using persuasive language.
Module 2 – Fantastic Tales
Plan and create a story;
Students evaluate examples of myths and legends. They identify key features and use these to plan and write their own stories, they will also engage in guided editing and reviewing.
Module 3 – Writing to Inform
Create a non-chronological report on life at school.
Students read and evaluate non-chronological reports. They identify key features and use these to plan and write a report on their school.
What we offer
We offer structured and guided sessions which allows students to be creative whilst learning in a fun, safe and relaxed environment. Our programme is best taught in small groups as it allows students to work as a team and encourage each other during the brainstorming activities.
Who
This course will benefit students who need an extra boost in literacy skills, they should already have a sound knowledge of the English language.
It is suited to students aged 8 - 13 years old but please contact us if your child is outside this range. Each child is individual and we will tailor our programme to suit.

Originally devised and taught in England, this programme has now been introduced to New Zealand with excellent results.
